North America

North America has a huge diversity of fish, fishing and fishermen. In the far north In Alaska and Canada are some of the most exciting Salmon species running up wild rivers where anglers must compete with bears and bald eagles for their quarry. Here too the sea has very large cod to go for and many smaller rivers and lakes hold terrific trout to tempt with the fly.

All across the USA millions of anglers compete for Bass or Crappie and hundreds of clubs run tournaments where the whole family can compete for cash or cups.

Especially in the south Catfish and Bowfish are fished for in natural ponds and vast lakes created by dams.

In the warmer waters of the Gulf of Mexico and off California sports fishermen and women pursue the great denizens of the deep and hundreds of charters offer deep-sea adventures.

Millions of anglers enjoy the sport and art of angling and the outdoor life.
